He Admired Her Silence

He fell in love with what sentenced him to lifetime imprisonment; her wide blue eyes. In every corner he visualized her, in every face was her trace, and her beautifully red cheeks. Addicted to his delirium he was, enjoying it, not yearning his sanity. He desired her bronze skin, sculptured beautifully.

He rushed to commit, for her to be the face he sees when he wakes up. They exchanged rings pleasantly. He wanted to hear her first words, her voice, the voice he never heard but only fantasized.

With whispers of satan -or maybe fiercer?- she corrupted his mind. A nightmare it turned into. Shocking she was! Bare naked, with that pretty face unworn. She was but a face, hiding behind a golden masquerade, with a rather ugly soul.

  1. Nice piece, Alia! “Never judge a book by its cover.” so they say, and it is true. 🙂 We always get caught up with superficial beauty, later on we get disappointed when we realize the lack of substance behind that mask. Well done! 🙂 And thanks for sharing!
